Daisy Cakes 2.21.09
As a part of our Saturday morning routine, Phil and I often plan on eating our first meal of the day at the Durham Farmer’s Market. While I didn’t intend to research today, there’s no such thing as breakfast or brunch without coffee in my world.
So, we parked at Central Park and started walking when we were pleasently reminded of one of the better additions to Saturday mornings, the Daisy Cakes Airstream!
For those of you who have never been, this airstream is set up on the corner of Foster and Geer every Saturday from 9-1. So, while I can think of nothing better than one of their “Pop’t Arts” (today’s was Nuttela with Black Cherry preserves…dear god!), it also just so happened that they serve Counter Culture coffees!
When asked why they chose Counter Culture over other local coffees, they both smiled and explained that 1/2 of the Daisy Cakes duo was actually employed by Counter Culture!
We dined and then headed to the market fully nourished for a morning of shopping!
